Emma: 4 months

Date: January 3

Stats: 13 lbs. 11 oz., 24.75 in long

Sleep: This entire month has been a huge struggle with sleep. She has suddenly "woken up" and is very aware of her surroundings. She's doing 2-4 hour stretches and wants to feed every time. It's been tough on mommy!

Feeding: Exclusively breastfed. Eating every 3 hours during the day. She has become very efficient with feeding, but is also highly distracted. Takes the bottle really well (yay, date nights!). Two more months until solids.

Clothing size: Fits well in 3-6 month clothing, but also wears her 6-12 month clothes she got for Christmas. Yikes, what will she wear at 6 months then?!

Likes: talking ALL THE TIME, looking in the mirror, sucking on her hands, trying to suck on her toes (it's the cutest thing ever), Christmas lights, music, funny noises mommy and daddy make at her, her owl rattle, seeing her family, bath time, massage time before bed

Dislikes: putting clothes on, getting slathered up in lotion at night, getting the snot sucked out of her nose (who would like that though?)

Biggest changes: We feel like she has changed so much since last month and is truly an infant now! Her hair is coming in thicker, she's getting chubbier and she holds her head up really well now (still not great in the Bumbo seat though). She really interacts with us and knows who we are and it seems like she may be starting to know her name. She can grab toys and bring them to her mouth. She rolled over front to back a couple times, but we're not sure if she really realized what she did since she hasn't done it since. She is starting to push herself up with her legs and scoot around a bit...this is kind of scary, it means she is close to crawling! Emma is constantly drooling, blowing bubbles and the spit up is at an all time high lately.
